Chic signed from local junior side Logie. He went on to retain the keeper’s jersey for most of 1931-32. He was retained at the end of the campaign and remained first choice for much of the next two seasons. In March 1934, having made 100 appearances for the Club, he asked to be transfer listed and in late 1934 he signed for Preston North End.
