A Dundee native, Brad first played at Tannadice at the age of 6 whilst playing in the J-League before spending two years with Saints Boys Club. At the age of 9 he joined the United Youth Academy, whilst attending regular sessions with Ian Cathro’s Soccer Clinic. Brad signed with United as a professional in July 2013 having come through the youth ranks, and became a regular in the Development squad over the next few years, signing a two year contract extension in December 2015.

He made his first team debut when he was introduced to the side by caretaker manager Gordon Young as a substitute against Partick Thistle in the second last game of the 2015-16 season, and appeared again from the bench in the final match against Kilmarnock. He was loaned out to Albion Rovers in February 2017 until the end of the 2016–17 season, and in August he was released from his contract with United four months early.
