First Team Debuts

Milestones
John Clark scored his first goal for the Club.

United's final match prior to the return leg with Roma turned out to be a torrid Derby encounter. Dundee escaped with a point after United failed to capitalise on their dominance, which was particularly in evidence in the first half.

After striking the woodwork on three occasions United finally took the lead on the stroke of half-time. John Clark quickly took a free-kick, picked up the return, sidestepped a Dundee defender and blasted home via the post.

Dundee got back on level terms in the 66th minute when Walker McCall ran on to a McKinlav through ball to beat McAlpine. In a hectic final three minutes, John Reilly and Bobby Glennie were booked, Cammy Fraser sent off, and Eamonn Bannon struck a post.
