First Team Debuts

An afternoon best forgotten as we lost out for the second week running. Few suspected Celtic could repeat the emphatic victory of the previous week, but they did and what made it all the more disappointing was that the game was effectively over after 23 minutes.

Marc Rieper's headed opener was not open to question, but there was more than an element of luck about the two goals which followed. Henrik Larsson got the credit for the second, but the ball reared up wickedly off the heel of Maurice Malpas.

Also, there was more than a suggestion of off side as Craig Burley nodded in the third. But you couldn't really make these out as excuses as to why Celtic didn't deservedly lift the trophy, so disappointedly did we perform!
