The first stage of the North-East League Cup final attracted just under 10,000 spectators at Dundee, where United beat Aberdeen 4-3. In the deciding game on Saturday first at Pittodrie Aberdeen thus start a goal in arrears. In the earlier Cup competition, it will be recalled, Aberdeen faced a deficit of 3 goals and won on the aggregate by 7 goals to 6. With an attendance of 20,000 at the Glasgow Charity Cup final it is expected that a sum of 3000 will be available for distribution from this seasons competition.
