The Qualifying Cup Final between Dundee Hibernian and Albion Rovers at Tynecastle furnished the usual medley of battle-scarred veterans and last season's juniors. The play, like the players, was mixed, and very moderate all through. The Coatbridge team were a trifle the cleverer, but what the Hibernians lacked in skill they possessed in weight, and a drawn game represented the situation. The gate - £225 - was the most pleasing feature of the proceedings. As showing the gulf which separates First and Second League football it may be pointed out that the outstanding player in the game was Henderson, the discarded of Dundee, Hearts and several English clubs. From the Glasgow Herald, December 15, 1913
