Milestones
Alex Stuart scored his first goal for the Club.

A spectacular second half come-back by Hearts after being 2-0 down at the interval carried them to victory at Tannadice. There was nothing defensive about the team on this performance and the all-out attacking completely shattered the home side.

Cruickshank missed a Wilson cross in the 27th minute and Ian Mitchell headed the ball into the net. Nine minutes later Alex Stuart scored a second with a great I8-yard shot.

It was Highlander Neil Murray, making his first-team debut for Hearts, who made Ernie Winchester's first goal seven minutes after half time when he forced a way in on the right and Winchester headed past Mackay. Ernie Winchester equalised following a corner on the left 13 minutes from the end. With seven minutes to go Hearts' joy was complete when Jim Townsend pushed the ball back to Davie Clunie who sent a left-foot shot raging into the net.
