First Team Debuts

United's hopes of progressing were dashed after a dramatic second half collapse. After dominating the majority of the game, it was Torsten Andersen, Denmark's leading scorer, who done the damage with a hat-trick.

Addison played his first game in Europe as was United's best player. However, the tangerines contrived to miss a number of great chances early in this game.

After the interval it was the Andersen show. With 3 minutes played in the second half Andersen struck his first, beating McAlpine with a rising shot after Wallace had lost possession.

Then Narey and McAlpine got in a fickle to let Andersen In for his second. And with the final whistle ready to be blown Andersen Took a pass form Laudrop, beat two men and expertly completed his hat-trick.
