First Team Debuts

Milestones

Just prior to the start of the initial Premier League season the Tannadice Top Ten side had already suffered in the away leg at Firhill at the hands of the First Division men. 3-1 down going into their home advantage. United did little better the second time around when Joe Craig added to the Maryhill club's lead with a first half
goal. United's hopes were completely killed off when John Hansen made the aggregate 5-1 in Thistle's favour before Billy Steele snatched United's sole crumb of comfort from a late penalty award.
