First Team Debuts

Milestones
Paul Sturrock reached 10 goals for the Club.

The return took place at Tannadice just a week later and we coasted into the next round against a plucky but outclassed lcelandic side with a 4-0 second leg victory.

Although we held a two goal advantage from the first leg, we had to fight much harder than expected against the brave part-timers. Henry Hall opened the scoring in 29 minutes, but that was all we had to show for a half first half of almost incessant pressure.

A 58th minute penalty by Paul Hegarty finally extended our lead and Henry Hall's second of the match and Paul Sturrock's first in Europe completed our 6-0 aggregate win.
