First Team Debuts

Milestones

Dundee United eased into the second round of the Texaco Cup against a Sheffield side who failed to perform. The tangerines scored first in 29 minutes when Jim Henry's shot from 30 yards beat the 'keeper who looked suspect to say the least.

The game lacked flow in the second half and only a string of bookings provided the talking points. That was until the 96th minute when Dundee United doubled their lead. It was Traynor who made the goal, completing a mazy run down the wing and picking out Jim Henry who scored his second.

These two goals from Henry turned out to be his last for the club.

None.
