First Team Debuts

We emerged from the third derby of the season with a 100% record in tact after the closest of the three encounters so far. After getting off to a good start in the early stages, Dundee counter-attacked taking full advantage of both slope and wind, however they failed to really test Billy Thomson.

A minute before half-time we grabbed the all important goal. Mixu Paatelainen robbed John Holt midway inside their half and laid on the perfect through ball to Hamish French who astutely slid the ball past Geddes.

After the interval few goalmouth incidents occurred at either end though and for the most part we held on to our lead, all be it narrow, with relative ease. With seven minutes remaining there was the pleasing sight of Paul Sturrock returning to action for his first appearance of the season.
