First Team Debuts

Milestones

This win over Motherwell provided a double with a welcome return to form plus leadership of Section One. Eamonn Bannon was the hero of the evening being the creator of all four goals. The first came from his superb reverse pass which left John Reilly with the simple task of beating Walker. The second goal was a crashing 30-yarder by Richard Gough from Eamonn's cross-field pass.

The same combination produced the third with Richard Gough's 20-yarder going in under Walker's body. Ally Mauchlen putted one back with 'a viciously swerving 30-yarder but within a minute United made it four when John Holt was impeded in going for another Eamonn Bannon cross and Eamonn slotted home the fourth. John Gallagan hit 'Well's second early in the second half.

None.
